Environmental Management

Our Policy on Environmental Management

At Cambridge University Press we have a responsibility to protect the environment, and are committed to improving our environmental performance throughout every stage of our operations.

Our publishing activities, products and services for the global academic and educational markets can have an impact on the environment. We want to reduce that impact by implementing systems for managing environmental risks and opportunities and complying with all our obligations.

As part of our business strategy, we will strive to:

  • Reduce carbon emissions and equivalent emissions by minimizing energy consumption and unnecessary business travel
  • Reduce resource consumption and waste, and increase recycling where possible
  • Prevent pollution
  • Seek assurance from our suppliers that forestry products are legally sourced
  • Promote our environmental policy to our people, our suppliers, our customers, our local community, our University and our other partners
